The Seeing Eye Exhibit

seeing-eye-3

Have you ever thought about how complex the human eye is?

seeing-eye-collage-jp-1

The eye has many parts, such as the cornea, iris, lens, retina, optic nerve, and more. Our eye needed all its parts right from the beginning in order to function.

img_0028-e

It is what we could call, irreducibly complex.

For example: If we do not have the right amount of fluid pressure in the vitreous humor, we would experience glaucoma and blindness.

If our lens were cloudy, we would experience cataracts and the inability to see.

eye-a

Again, each part of the eye had to be in its proper place and fully functioning right from the beginning in order for us to see.

A seeing eye could not happen by blind chance!

seeing-eye-2-a

The evidence that the eye is designed is overwhelming and points directly to a creative eye-Maker. And that eye-Maker is God!

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? Psalm 94:9

Way to go Mark Armitage!

Way to go Mark! If you haven’t heard the news, our friend and colleague Mark Armitage has won his lengthy legal battle against California State University Northridge, the university that terminated his employment shortly after he published his findings of dinosaur soft tissue. These soft tissues that Mark and other scientists are repeatedly finding in dinosaur bones have evolutionists in an uproar. For more information about the court case http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/29337/

softtissueimage-400x400

Soft tissue may refer to any of the tissue in an animal that connects, supports, or surrounds other structures and organs in the body, not being hard tissue such as bone. Soft tissue includes tendons, ligaments, skin, fibrous tissues, fat, muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. Did you know that soft tissue has been found in over 100 different dinosaur bone fossils? If these dinosaurs died out millions and millions of years ago, as evolutionists teach, how would this soft tissue remain intact for so long? Soft tissue in dinosaur remains is tremendous evidence that these dinosaur remains are only a few thousand years old at most, and so are the layers of the earth in which the dinosaur remains are found.

Here are some photos Mark sent us of the Triceratops horn at the dig site at the Hell Creek Formation in Montana.

Did you know that we actually have some of the soft tissue from the Triceratops horn on display right here in our museum! Mark graciously gave us the tissue along with pieces of the horn and frill from the Triceratops! The Creation and Earth History Museum is located at 10946 N Woodside Ave in Santee, CA Stop by and see them on display in our front lobby today!

wpf7afb74d_1aTom Cantor is also a successful Jewish businessman who came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the CEO & President of Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc., one of the largest privately held bio-tech companies in the world, represented on five continents.  In addition, Tom Cantor is the Founder of several non-profit organizations including the Life & Light Foundation and Israel Restoration Ministries, which focuses on reaching one of the most unreached groups in the world – God’s lost nation of Jewish people. He is also the owner of the Creation & Earth History Museum and radio host of the Friendship with God program.

wp75ac0076_01_1aDr. Jobe Martin has spent the last twenty years studying the topic of Biblical Creation vs. Evolution, and lectures frequently on the subject. He began his scientific career as a dentist, and a believer in Darwinian evolution, as he had been taught in numerous courses in high school, undergraduate school, and dental school. Some of his Christian students at the Baylor College of Dentistry challenged him to prove to them that evolution was a correct, complete and accurate explanation for the origin of the earth and all of its abundance of unique life forms. His Creation Proclaims DVD series is fascinating as he lectures on these remarkable animals that cannot be explained by traditional evolution.  www.biblicaldiscipleship.org

wp2bf4b33d_01_1aGifted by God in many ways, Buddy Davis is a speaker and singer/songwriter for AiG. He is an adventurer and paleo-artist, and he leads the very popular “Creation Adventure” children’s workshop at AiG conferences and at the Creation Museum. Buddy plays many acoustic instruments, and his music is enjoyed around the world. Buddy’s greatest adventure happened in the north of the Alaskan tundra (within the Arctic Circle) with his search for dinosaur bones. His exploration for Noah’s Ark took him to Mt. Ararat in Turkey. He has sculpted more than 60 impressive dinosaur models, many of which have found a new home in the Creation Museum. His work has been featured worldwide in newspapers, magazines, books, and on television. http://www.answersingenesis.org

wp99396fff_01_1aBrian Thomas received his bachelor’s degree in biology in 1993 and a master’s in biotechnology in 1999 from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas. He taught junior high and high school at Christian schools in Texas, as well as biology, chemistry, and anatomy as an adjunct and assistant professor at Dallas-area universities. Since 2008 Mr. Thomas has been a science writer and editor at ICR, where he contributes news and magazine articles, speaks on creation issues, and researches original tissue fossils. He is the author of Dinosaurs and the Bible and a contributor to Guide to Creation Basics, Creation Basics & Beyond, and Guide to Dinosaurs. www.icr.org

williams-jCreationist Col. Jeffrey Williams, NASA Astronaut. During his six months aboard the International Space Station in 2006, Colonel Jeffrey N. Williams orbited the earth more than 2,800 times and took more photographs of earth than any astronaut in history. Every shot contains lessons about God’s creation. Every view from the window of the Space Station contains countless vivid lessons about the meticulous goodness of divine providence, God’s care for His creation, and His wisdom in ordering the universe. Colonel Williams has had the rare privilege of studying earth from heaven’s perspective.

Eric-HovindEric Hovind grew up immersed in the world of apologetics and following college graduation in 1999, he began full-time ministry.  President and Founder of Pensacola-based organization, Creation Today, Eric’s passion to reach people with the life-changing message of the Gospel has driven him to speak in five foreign countries and all fifty states.  He lives in Pensacola, Florida with his wife Tanya and three children and remains excited about the tremendous opportunity to lead an apologetics ministry in the war against evolution and humanism.  Much like a 21st-century Apostle Paul on Mars Hill, in June of 2013, Eric stood on the first monument to atheism in America to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the atheist community. http://www.creationtoday.org

wp8ccda2c2_01_1aDr. Andy McIntosh retired from full time work at the University of Leeds, and is now a visiting research professor in Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory. Andy became a Christian in 1969 shortly before going to the University of Wales. He has authored the book “Genesis for Today” and has contributed to a number of others including most recently “Origins –examining the evidence” He has also contributed to TV and radio programs, to present the scientific evidence for creation and design, and lectures in many countries on the subject of origins showing that the science is in favour of special creation followed by the worldwide Flood, and that there is no contradiction between true observational science and the Bible.

NEW EXHIBIT – The Mystery of Dragons and Dinosaurs: The Real History and True Science Behind the Legends

Have you seen the newest exhibit at the Creation & Earth History Museum?

Dino max 3

These new displays focus on fantastic legends of dragons and how they mysteriously have a common theme; large reptilian beasts that often bear an uncommon resemblance to modern-day reconstructions of dinosaurs! You will find replicas of historical artifacts that depict eye-witness accounts of these creatures as well as scientific evidence for dinosaurs having roamed the earth in recent history.

Dino 15

Special thanks to Mark Armitage who provided these actual fossils that are a WORLD’S FIRST DISCOVERY! These very significant pieces of Triceratops horn and Triceratops frill are the first of their kind! Never before has a Triceratops horn or frill been found containing soft tissue and we have actual pieces of these fossils on display! Unfossilized soft tissue in dinosaur bones provides convincing evidence that the bones are not millions of years old. There is no known means that could preserve such tissues for such enormous periods of time. Microbes, and chemical and physical erosion would completely disintegrate the fragile tissues.

Dino 14

Stop by the museum today and ask to see these new amazing additions.

The Truth About Salt – Creation Minute 6

The Truth About Salt

Salt 7

Macro photo of table salt

Are you enjoying those salty fries? Have you ever wondered where the rock salt that was needed for that seasoning originated?

In addition to its famous role in the human diet, salt has numerous uses in chemical production and processing as well as in many other industries. Salt mining and production remains a major source of employment in the United States and across the world.

Salt 9

Although a lot of salt comes from distant locales such as Chile’s Great Salt Flat, there is a good chance that the salt used on your fries probably came from an enormous pure salt deposit covering an estimated 600,000 square miles deep below Northern Ohio and New York. The salt from this deposit is so pure that it can be ground up and immediately used for human consumption – containing essentially no contamination from sand, wind-blown dust, plant or animal fragments and debris, etc.

Salt Storage

How did such an enormous deposit form? The standard explanation is that a salt water depression repeatedly filled and evaporated over huge periods of time, leaving the salt behind in what is called and evaporite formation.

Unrefined Salt

Unrefined salt, Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah.

Yet the ultra-pure characteristics and massive size of this deposit make that extremely unlikely. In fact,  for a deposit that huge to form, it would have required a column of sea water 80 miles thick and the deepest ocean basin is only 7 miles deep! And that salt deposit would not be pure, but mixed with other sediment.

The Bible provides a better explanation for such deposits. During the worldwide flood, enormous vents opened up deep within the ocean as tectonic plates moved and continents were sliding into new positions. Today ocean vents spew forth supersaturated, mineral-laden fluids- but on a much smaller scale than what was happening during the flood. It is likely that an extremely supersaturated solution of salt formed in localized areas during the flood and as the supersaturated solution cooled, ultra-pure salt precipitated to form widespread salt deposits.

So as you reach for that salt shaker, realize that that salt was probably mined from a deposit laid down during Noah’s Flood.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Genesis 7:11
