NEW EXHIBIT – The Mystery of Dragons and Dinosaurs: The Real History and True Science Behind the Legends

Have you seen the newest exhibit at the Creation & Earth History Museum?

Dino max 3

These new displays focus on fantastic legends of dragons and how they mysteriously have a common theme; large reptilian beasts that often bear an uncommon resemblance to modern-day reconstructions of dinosaurs! You will find replicas of historical artifacts that depict eye-witness accounts of these creatures as well as scientific evidence for dinosaurs having roamed the earth in recent history.

Dino 15

Special thanks to Mark Armitage who provided these actual fossils that are a WORLD’S FIRST DISCOVERY! These very significant pieces of Triceratops horn and Triceratops frill are the first of their kind! Never before has a Triceratops horn or frill been found containing soft tissue and we have actual pieces of these fossils on display! Unfossilized soft tissue in dinosaur bones provides convincing evidence that the bones are not millions of years old. There is no known means that could preserve such tissues for such enormous periods of time. Microbes, and chemical and physical erosion would completely disintegrate the fragile tissues.

Is creation a viable model of origins in today’s modern, scientific era? Leading creation apologist and bestselling Christian author Ken Ham is joined at the Creation Museum by popular TV personality and evolution apologist Bill Nye.

Ham, a former science instructor who emigrated to the USA from Australia over 25 years ago, is joined by the popular children’s program personality Bill Nye “the Science Guy” for this first and only scheduled debate. Each man delivers what he believes is the best information currently available for his case. Each then has an opportunity for rebuttal and afterward answers questions submitted by the audience.

The upcoming February 4 debate has already generated significant attention from national media, and tickets to attend live were completely sold out within two minutes of release.

The Creation and Earth History Museum Celebrates Museum Day

Creation & Earth History Museum Day

Join us on September 29, 2012 for our big yearly event!

National Christian Apologists to Speak at Opening of Two New Exhibits During Creation & Earth History “Museum Day” Sept. 29

(Santee, Calif.) – August 30, 2012 – National Christian apologists Ray Comfort and Darek Isaacs will speak at the Creation and Earth History Museum’s seventh annual Museum Day on Saturday, September 29.  The museum, located at 10946 Woodside Ave. in Santee, will unveil its Age of the Earth and Tabernacle exhibits during the free event, which runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“This is the most significant expansion we have offered to San Diego since the opening of the 2,400 square-foot Human Anatomy exhibit in 2011”, said Tom Cantor, founder of Life and Light Foundation that runs the museum.  Cantor expects 3,000 people at the event, which averages 2,000 in monthly attendance.

About the Speakers:

Darek Isaacs of Jacksonville, Ala., is founder of the ministry Watchmen 33, which focuses on defending the Bible.  Author of The Extinction of Evolution and Dragons or Dinosaurs, he also produced the film Dragons and DinosaursRay Comfort is a New Zealand-born author, minister, and evangelist well known for his “open air” apologetic encounters accompanied by actor Kirk Cameron.  He founded Living Waters Publications and The Way of the Master ministry in Bellflower, Calif.

About the New Exhibits:

The Age of the Earth Cave will present rare minerals and data with explanations defending a

young Earth view while dealing with today’s common dating methods such as carbon 14, radio

isotopes, and helium argon processes.  The 300-square-foot exhibit offers the experience of

touring an underground cavern.

The Tabernacle is a 2,015-square-foot expansion to the museum’s building that will feature a theater seating presentation on the Old Testament tabernacle.  A narration given by Museum Owner Tom Cantor (a Messianic Jew) will be accompanied by directional light changes highlighting items such as a scaled replica of the Tabernacle, the Holy of Holies and the Ark of the Covenant, and priests in their religious garments using utensils of priestly service.  The exhibit models one Cantor already has at a Scantibodies facility in Tecate, Mexico.

Both exhibits are self-guided tours, as are all the museum’s facilities.

The event, which is sponsored by the Smithsonian magazine, also will include a live “Creeping Things” reptile encounter, a petting zoo, animal balloons, and face-painting.  Light refreshments will be served throughout the day along with food available for purchase by Krispy Kreme Donuts and Chick-fil-A.  The museum’s bookstore will feature new titles, special sales, and raffle prizes during the event.

Museum Day at the Creation and Earth History Museum

National Museum Day – September 29th, 2012

The Creation and Earth History Museum is the oldest Creation Museum in the nation, and one of only a few in the world presenting the Biblical account of science and history.  It features interactive learning exhibits on the Six-Day Creation, the Fall of Man, Noah’s Ark and the Worldwide Flood, a Grand Canyon Wall and Fossils, Mt. St. Helens, the Ice Age, Ancient Civilizations, a Dinosaur Garden, Human Anatomy, and the Hall of Scholars.  Dr. Henry Morris and the Institute of Creation Research (ICR) launched the museum in 1992.  For 20 years, ICR developed and grew the exhibits and school . Upon ICR’s move to Texas in 2008, the entire museum and its contents were sold to Tom Cantor, president of Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc.  Mr. Cantor and his wife, Cheryl, founded the non-profit 501c3 Life and Light Foundation, which owns the museum and continues its expansion. Attendance is free to the museum, which is located 20 minutes northeast of downtown San Diego.  The museum has an attendance of 30,000 annually.
