Building an Army of Christian Educators

The mission of Creation Training Initiative is to train-up Christians worldwide to be effective teachers and speakers on the subject of biblical creation and apologetics, so that, they can, in turn, equip the next generation with the knowledge and skills to defend their faith against the teachings of evolution and compromise.

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

DNA and Logic

DNA and Logic 4_edited-1

DNA and Logic

There is no natural explanation for information that has (1) an encoded message with (2) an expected action with (3) an envisioned purpose, apart from an intelligent source.  This is a tested universal law of information with no exceptions.  The sender-receiver nature of the information in DNA is an empirically observable fact.  The instructions for forming (synthesizing) proteins are stored on individual DNA molecules which are located in the cellular nucleus and in the mitochondria within the cell’s cytoplasm.  DNA is a chemical information molecule, where the chemical “letters” are four different nucleotide bases:  adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C).   These letters are grouped into three-letter “words” called codons, each of which specifies/represents either a particular amino acid or a command to “start” or “stop” an action.  The complex process of this ingenious sender-receiver communication, transcription, translation, and consequent action accounts for all biological functions relating to the very existence of life.  The idea that this kind of information could have originated from mindless chance is an abandonment of logic to support a crumbling worldview that does not honestly square with the known and obvious facts.  As noted by Dr. Werner Gitt, Ph.D. (the information scientist and control engineer who worked for more than 30 years as a director and professor at the Federal Institute of Physics and Technology in Brunswick, Germany), this is where the logic of information should lead us:

The information encoded in DNA far exceeds all our current technologies. Hence, no human being could possibly qualify as the Sender, who must therefore be sought outside of our visible world, since the original Sender:(1) ingeniously encoded the information into the DNA molecules, (2) must have designed the complex bio-machinery that decodes the information and carries out all the processes of biosynthesis, and (3) created all the details of the original construction and reproductive capacities of all living things.

Because there has never been a process in the material world demonstrable through observation or experiment in which this kind of coded information has arisen without prior intelligence, this principle must also be valid for this quality of information present in all living things. What we do observe about this kind of information is that it intrinsically depends upon an original act of intelligence to construct it.  Only a Supreme Being with capacities far beyond our own possesses that kind of power and intellect.  This is the only reasonable conclusion that one can honestly reach, leaving no room for an unreasonable worldview.  There is a lot more riding on this than winning an argument.  God is communicating to us through His creation and His Word.  He is offering His salvation to all who will receive Him (John 1:12,13).   All who trust Him are saved forever.  All others are “without excuse” (Romans 1:20).  There is no mistake more costly than this.

You Believe in an Outdated Book

You Believe In An Outdated Book….

The Outdated Book,  Writings of Goat Herders, or Bronze Age Book of Fables Argument That Many Biblical Skeptics Use Today….

If you are a Bible-believing Christian, and you’ve been sharing your faith, I’m betting that you have been confronted with an argument that is meant to offend you, poke holes in your belief system (the Holy Word of God), and send you away red-faced and embarrassed. The jab goes something like this, “You actually believe that the Bible is true?!? That old book? Well then you believe in the ancient ramblings of a bunch of uneducated goat herders!”  So the attack goes, or it may be worded differently, or perhaps aimed at the canonization process by which the scriptures were officially ruled to be the word of God. All of this can be answered with a little logical reasoning.

Here is a recent comment from one such skeptic on the facebook page of the Creation & Earth History Museum.

Martin B. writes, “This… is… the scariest Facebook page I have ever visited. It’s astonishing how off-track you people are, and you’ll probably never realize it either. What a waste of human potential. Wasted on bronze-age, outdated ideologies…

I could only wish that Martin is scared because he is pondering the nature of God, but he is likely spiritually blind and his fear is of that which contradicts his atheistic worldview. This particular comment, after telling us how off-track [from reality] we are, goes on to say that [sadly] we will probably never realize it. Hmmm, well let me begin by saying that a great many Christians and in this case, “Creationists” were once atheists, or humanists, or deists, or in my case a theistic evolutionist. For so many of us, in fact I would hazard a guess that for most of us, we were not taught creationism and the literal truth of the Bible at a young age. It was later in adulthood when we began to look deeper into the issues and then we became convinced that the Bible is true.

Here is one such case of an atheist who became educated and then became a Christian, exactly the opposite of the assumed outcome of most of the “educated” atheists who have been indoctrinated in the religion of humanism by the public school system.

Speaking of uneducated, this entire argument of the “uneducated biblical authors” is either one of the least researched arguments (by the person posing it) or least factual arguments that a biblical skeptic can use. The Bible is a compilation of 66 books written over a period of 1500 years across 3 continents with one central congruent theme and no conflicts that can’t be resolved by the context. Most importantly, the Bible’s authors validate that their writings were inspired by God and to this end the 66 books portray an incredibly consistent picture of the Messiah throughout.

In regards to the approximately 40 individuals who were inspired by God to write these books, consider the following quote from Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer, in the book, “Seven Reasons Why You Can Trust the Bible”

[the authors of the Bible]

“…came from a variety of occupations: kings, fishermen, tax collectors, shepherds, prophets, and even a physician. In all it would be difficult to find a more diverse collection of writers. They run the gamut from Moses, who was highly educated, to Peter, who was a fisherman. Though they wrote at different periods of world history, their writings dovetail with one another, not superficially, but intricately and brilliantly.”

The book goes on to say in regards to the congruency of scripture…

”…Imagine various pieces of a cathedral arriving from different countries and cities, converging on a central location. In fact, imagine that investigation proves that forty different sculptors made contributions over a period of many centuries. Yet the pieces fit together to form a single magnificent structure. Would this not be proof that behind the project was a single mind, one designer who used his workmen to sculpt a well-conceived plan? The Bible is that cathedral…”

So all of this is to say that the congruency from these (in many cases) disconnected authors is reason enough to believe in the uncontrived truth of the Bible, but there is more.

Why accept the Bible as being Divinely inspired? Here are four common reasons:

  1. its record of fulfilled prophecy
  2. its consistent theme and congruency
  3. its endurance
  4. its confirmation by archaeology and science

The above was taken from one of many great articles on

I could write much more on this topic, but thankfully a myriad of much more qualified and more intelligent people already have.

For more information, I highly recommend the following articles:

And I highly recommend researching the countless historical and archaeological evidences for the Bible such as:

A Common Flood Story

The Code of Hammurabi

The Nuzi Tablets

The Existence of Hittites

The Merneptah Stele

Biblical Cities Attested Archaeologically (or still existing today) – Jericho, Haran, Hazor, Dan, Megiddo, Shechem, Samaria, Shiloh, Gezer, Gibeah, Beth Shemesh, Beth Shean, Beersheba, Lachish, Jerusalem Babylon,  Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gaza, Gath, Ekron, Damascus, Tyre, Athens, Rome, etc.

Shishak’s Invasion of Judah

The Moabite Stone

Obelisk of Shalmaneser III

Burial Plaque of King Uzziah

Hezekiah’s Siloam Tunnel Inscription

The Sennacherib Prism

Assyrian Lachish Reliefs

Hezekiah’s Tunnel

The Pontius Pilate Inscription

The House of David Inscription

The Caiaphas Ossuary

The Ketef Hinnom Silver Amulet Scrolls

The Dead Sea Scrolls

Just to name a few…

Here in this post I have only briefly touched on the congruency in number 2 and the archaeology in number 4 of the above list. There is literally a lifetime of study to be done on these topics, and of course there are many other reasons in addition to those four listed to believe that the Bible is true.

Perhaps the best reason is that the Bible’s ultimate author, God, is freely available to you. It is He Himself who will validate the authority and accuracy of His word. Once you have entered into a relationship with Him, you can simply ask for His guidance as you read His word and He will do just that.
